absolved lemon
spite anger hate money revenge?
Asked by absolved lemon
sometimes on building sites its custom for the trades to give the labourers a few quid to get themselves a drink as a thank you for all the hard work they do sorting out the different tradesmen. i work with 2 other labourers, only 2 of us do the actual work the other staggers about drunkenly with his head up his own hole and hasnt got a clue. <<<<big bosses pet monkey. anyway the plasterers finished one house and gave him 50 quid for us to get a drink. did either of us see the money? no! he kept it for himself. i dont care about my cut its the other labourer getting stiffed that pisses me off. this build is going to be finished soon and i reckon quite a sizeable sum of money will be given to me by the trades as a thank you. by that time the other labourer and telescopic forklift driver will be on another site. i'm going to give the money to the other labourer and forklift driver, i work for my wages not thanks. but should i cut the drunken lazy bastard in or do something nasty to him ember dear lady i can assure you i am a bloke but your right i'm not american i'm irish. i dont know what the score is with the big bosses pet monkey, when he steps out of line i shoot him down hard.

NEITHER on the drunken lazy b@st@rd. And why not keep your share? If the trades want to express your job well done, who are you to say you dont deserve their money? "i work for my wages not thanks". Think of it as part of your wages. You can be proud of your work and accept the thanks at the same time. Idiot, lazy coworkers have gotten the same Christmas bonus as the hardworking employee. Thats a thanks too, and the hardworking employee accepts it as recognition of a job well done. You should too.

Nah..don't cut him in he doesn't deserve it. Just give the other guy the money right in front of monkey boy and tell him he's got f-all for being a sneaky bastard!!!

I can tell you aren't a Bloke or Yankee because we wouldn't tolerate that unless it is the boss's nephew or brother-in-law then the boss is stuck with him and you are too. If he isn't related and just a pet and the others are equally fed to the gills with this inequality the lazy bastard would ordinarily be told by the other workers "If you don't start working your share we will kick your bum. And if you cry to the boss we will kick it again harder and if you try to press charges we will kick it again, if anyone goes to jail we will just come kick it again even harder." This usually wakes them up and puts them on the lookout for a kicking if he tells or slacks off in his duties. (Hope no one gets offended by this answer but it has worked for hundreds of years and still works.) If it is only temporary that you work with him. Just pay him this time and get the men to confront him with a ''Kicking if you don't pull your share" the next time you have him on your crew.
