I'm 46 and have much work experience to offer an employer, Am i too old to work for a oil field company?

in machine repair and maintenance, i'm a very motivated self starter type person with no issues, but will they say i'm to old?

no ur fine for that position,i was asking myself that same question 2 days ago,but i was a floor hand before & im 44 now & i dont know if i could cut the mustard back as a floor hand!that was very hard work when i was in my early 20"s! good luck!

don't think so - experience is something that is always appreciated especially in that line of business

They shouldn't, I am a crane operator on an oil rig and I just turned 60.

It's illegal to discriminate on the basis of age, first of all, and second, when did 46 become "too old" for anything except perhaps a professional figure skating career? If you have the experience, they will probably be glad to have you. Good luck!
