I went to law school at 34, and there were some students who were over 20 years older than me. You're at a great age to return to school.

depends on where you want to go afterwards. Some careers must be started early, such as air traffic control, which cuts off recruitment at somewhere around 31 yrs of age.l guess they want lifers.

NOOOO. I am a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant, I went at 18. However, my mother attended and graduated with me. She was 40 yrs old. She did great and now has worked in the field for 5 yrs, doing a mighty fine job, I might add. Not only that, but there were people even older than my mom in our class alone, and a lot of people your age. Do it! You'll be glad you did. Good Luck!!!!

It's never, ever too late to go to school! I recently saw a 90+ year old woman who graduated from U.C. Berkeley. She is proof that you can always go back to school and get your degree. You should definitely return to school, maybe meet with a counselor so that they can evaluate your units and see where you stand and give you a roadmap to follow so that you finish on time. You should also apply for the federal grants which you can do through FAFSA. Good luck!

Hell no! If you won't to go back, go back there is no age limit. but I would recommend go straight to nursing. That is where all the money is. Im a surgical tech and I wish I would have went back and some day I will, but nurses in the Operating room have got it made. We do more than them and they make more money than we do. don't wait any longer do it for yourself. hope that helps. being a nurse in the O.R. is something to think about>

It is never too late to go back, I returned to college after 30 years, yep at 48 went back to finish my BS in Business Administration, and graduated with honors. Was it hard Yes, was it worth it? Hell yes if for nothing else my sense of accomplishment. You are never to old to better yourself, go back follow that dream and accomplish, when you are 40 you will look back and know you did the right thing. Good luck to you, you can do it.

It often takes us a while to figure out what we want to be when we grow up!! Go back & become a nurse - Personally, I prefer someone who has some "real life" experience! Best of luck!

Never too old to go into nursing. In case you haven't heard, there's a huge shortage of nurses in the US and it's getting worse. A lot of colleges are interested in people your age-you may be more serious and dedicated than someone fresh out of high school.
Answered by crispy

A:
No, it's not too old; go for it. You may have more discipline and motivation than those younger than you. Your life experiences will definitely help as a medical assistant or a nurse. You are more likely to be able to relate better to different people.

A:
no, never!! um 27 and still at college because I have worked before to be able to pay the school expenses. Remember that you have at least half a century to live before you. Go for that!!! education has no age!!!

I would go right to nursing school if that is your dream. It certainly isn't too late. My grandmother got her BA at 50 and my sister got her PhD at 55.

Answered by SuBee

A:
Of course it's not too late! But I would skip the medical assistant part and go right for your nursing degree. There are lots of scholarships and grants available for nursing students right now...go for it!
