Career Questions and Answers

What company or type of job has excellent benefits and pay for someone with limited skills?
Asked by beenthere
If someone has no degree (or desire to get one) and has only worked in one type of job for many years (whose skills for the most part do not transfer well), what type of job/career field would you recommend? What company in particular do you think offers the best benefits? Is there a job that you have that you love (again not requiring a degree) and if so, what is it? I am mostly seeking ideas here. Thanks

Home Depot is an incredible opportunity for anyone in your situation if you can speak in front of 10-12 people (demonstrations) or can fix or build things. They have benefits and very good pay. I have a friend whos mother works there, she is 65 years old, she works in the kitchen area and helps people by suggesting how to build a new kitchen then bringing them to the in-house design team.
