why train someone to be assent manger if they do want to use them to be one?

Hi I work dollar general store and I was trained to do want a assent manger dose. well a opening for a assent manger happen to come up. I went to try and get the job I was told just because i don't have a drivers licintes I can't have a assent mangers job but i can fill in. whats the difencers.

Apparently the job you are applying for requires a drivers license as often the asst. manager of a store has to make cash deliveries to deposit into the bank account for the store. The asst. manager does alot of back up work for the store manager, and that often is just one of the tasks daily. I know because I was one. I noticed tho, that you don't have a good command of the English language, and it could possibly be, that you aren't working in a management position due to that set back. Perhaps you could attend a night school to perfect your speaking and writing ability to enable yourself to be hired for the job you are seeking. Customers would be taken back in surprise if an employee that is in management, can't speak English well enough to enunciate the words and be understood. There are alot of lessor paid jobs where employees are hired as clerks that can't speak well. But management is a different story. Good luck in improving your abilities in the work place.
