Are those "at home-typing" jobs a scam?

I am currently searching for a summer job and I came across an opening for an " at-home typist". It really seems to good to be true, it says I can make up to $300-$500 a week. I looked around at different websites and it just seems like a scam. Has anyone done any work like this? Any answers or help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

don't believe that kind of rubbish things i also tried things like that and wasted my precious time nothing comes without hard work isn't it?

There are some 'at home' typing and data entry positions that are valid. Medical transcription is a very good example, and you can make good money at it, but you won't see it on the internet. Most of these 'toogoodtobetrue' scams are just that. Be very leery of anyone who asks for a bank account number so they can do a direct deposit. They can also do a direct withdrawal with the same information..

Yes most are. They always want you to pay to start up. You should never pay to work, but If you are trying to work from home or just trying to make a little extra money check out this site below. Its got a list of sites that are free to join free to earn. Also all these sites pay out by checks and/or paypal (most pay out by checks). So if you want some real sites that arent scams just check it out. i have looked in to several 'work at home' jobs and all seem to be scams or sales...and i refuse to send $$ somewhere to make $, so i assume they are all scams and will not do them!

I THINK THEY ARE...EVERY ONE OF THEM WANTS A CREDIT CARD FOR U TO PAY THEM...UH, HELLOOOO, WHAT JOB WANTS U TO PAY THEM? A PERSON NEEDS MONEY THATS WHY THEY ARE LOOKING FOR A JOB. THATS RIDICULOUS. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE WHO IN THE HECK WOULD PAY A COMPANY TO GIVE THEM A JOB SO THAT THE COMPANY PAYS THEM. WHAT IS THE POINT?

before answering the 2nd part of the question let me tell you 1 thing, NEVER PAY ANYONE ANYTHING AT ALL FOR A JOB YOU DO FOR THEM AND NO MATTER HOW TEMPTING THEY MAY SOUND.
