Where should i start my IT career in Java or SAP?

I just graduated college and have been working for a company for about 7 months and i have the opportunity to choose my career path. Im fortunate enough to be able to start my career either in java or sap. Im being pulled into both areas. I dont know where i should go.

I would go the Java route. Java is a standard programming language that is used on virtually every operating system in existence. SAP is a commercial product sold by a single company.

I would advise you to first complete Java Programming. there are tonnes of resources avaliable to learn it and get along with it. Once you have a good foot hold in Java , try getting in SAP with ABAP programming. You can install mini-sap , netweaver which need both Java and ABAP knowledge
