Career Questions and Answers

Ms. Curious
How can I express deep appreciation to a recruiter?
Asked by Ms. Curious
I am a recent graduate on the fun path of job hunting. This man is basically giving me the opportunity to interview for the same company in whatever city I want until I get hired. The position is usually reserved for experienced hires, which I am not. He's working in so many different ways for me. I've never had a recruiter work with me like that before. He has expressed that he is a fan of mine, so I can tell he believes in me. He is a senior recruiter (aka gatekeeper) and works directly for the company (rather than for a third party) so I have no reason to believe the help is not sincere. Anyway, I feel a thank you card is not enough and a gift may be mistakenly considered a bribe. What to do?
