Industrial Distribution and Logistics? Career?

im majoring in industrial distribution and logistics.. does any 1 have a career in this broad field? hows the job? do u like it? hows the salary and the workload? on a scale of 1-10 how stressful is this job? r u in outside sales, logistics, warehousing, supply chain management? etc..thanks 4 ur help

It just so happens that I work in Logistics and the pay is so so. I've been doing the job for only 5 years (7 total at the company). I make 73K plus all benifits paid. I could make more, but their are plenty of promotions along the way, I started out with 24k straight out of college. I work with frieght, rail, planes, and sea transportation of goods and services. I deal with merchants and middle men via phone, email, or whatever to work acquisitions of bulk products for my organization for distribution to smaller distributers within the company. It does involve occassional travel all paid at the company's expense. I do have a company car and everything that I work with is provided by the company. I have a staff of 87 people that work for me at my hub and I am a the manager. Not a bad feat accomplished within 4 years in the logistics field. My crew handles maintenance, automative repair parts, as well as transport of supplies. I could go one and on, but I love what I do and their is no better job out their for me. The world runs on logistics, think about that while you continue your decision.
