I was just getting my trucking license and I am going to begin to apply for work. I would like to know what is the best paying company for new drivers, and how much should I expect to earn?

Hi, welcome to the trucking world!!! if you have a truck stop near by, they have magazine's with different companys hiring and what the requirments are, its hard to get on with one of the best companys that pay real good, but i know swift and england, and interstate distributors all hiring new drivers and get ya trained for about a month and let you go on your own... if your solo you can make 35,000 to 40,000 first year but that is pushing it... if you can team up with someone, teams get more miles and longer routes, they dont have to wait on the loads at docks most teams are drop and hook they keep them movin...Teams can make 50,000 to 75,000
Or Check your local jobs, and find a company that pays overtime, most local jobs are long hours like 12hr 5days a week or more, and you can make good money if that company pays overtime. you can make $18 to $25 an hour plus time and a half over 40 hours a week... thats what im doing now and im making 50,000 a year, home everyday :)
Truck Driver for 5 years :) still lovin it....
