A better way to put being a babysitter on a resume?
Asked by Combat Chuck
My fiance babysitted her nephews for a couple of years and wants to put it on a resume. However, she is concerned that babysitter sounds to plain or make her sound young and inexpirienced. Any thoughts on whether she should put it in the resume or another way to word it?

Best Answer:
Child Care Provider. Don't tell them on the resume that they were her nephews. Say "provided child care services for several children in a private setting."

You could use the terms: home aide, domestic coordinator, nanny, child care provider. I would stay away from babysitter.
Good luck.
