As a pizza delivery driver, do they get paid for petrol money as well as their wages?
Asked by tRY to BPM
Is it a requirement?

In the states you usually get both. You keep your tips which you are supposed to report on top of an hourly wage and the pizza place usually gives you a dollar per delivery or a certain amount per mile that you drive. As for being a requirement to pay for gas, I do not think it is required, but many many pizza places do it.

A:
I don't believe they do. I think they rely on tips to help them with that.

A:
Yes you do get paid some mileage usually $1 a delivery, these days if you drive 10 miles round trip, and it could easily be 20m round trip, it just doesn't cover the expense, but on the up note most people tip very well and they make up for it .

Usually you do get some type of milage or a little extra per delivery. It depends on the group your working for.
