I would recommend applying with a temp-agency. A lot of these agencies will do the work for you (for free) and find a job that fits you and your work qualities. Also, don't be deterred by the term temporary. Many of these agencies find jobs that are temporary, temp-to hire, and full-time positions. So just because it is a temp agency, doesn't mean you won't find a full-time job somewhere.
Used a temp agency to supplement my income for a while. I just did temporary work, but the agency offered to find me a full-time job if I wanted one.

air traffic controller, very stress full and difficult to get started in but if you are detailed oriented, which web developers usually are you should do fine. No college degree required many of them make upwards of 100K annually.
