How much do contract security guards get paid in your area?

I know somewhere in washington they get paid about 20 dollars an hr, but im trying to find out if they make more somewhere else in the country. (im talking about the guards you see at youre federal buildings/social security office/uscis).

I have looked into that myself, but I can't remember. They were very well paid, with great benifits. If you look on careerbuilder.com or USAjobs you can look up that particular jobs all over the country. The real money is made over seas though.
