What do i do to become a sales rep?

I want to be a sales rep, prolly for like a pharmaceutical company or medical products company. What kind of ettiquette, clothes, hair etc should i have?? Im so used to hanging around in gym clothes, im lost!

Go to your local financial services company and hang out with one of the high performers. Buy them lunch and have a little chat. You'll get a huge return, promise. Also, I wouldn't do pharmaceutical sales if I were you. Pharma and consumer-retail sales (i.e. stocking shelves with soda and cereal at different stores) isn't a sales job, it's a show-up job. Get somewhere where you can make a difference. Because if a show-up job is what you want, then your first tough season in sales will hammer you.

Dress smart. Shirt and pants, pressed. Preferrably with tie. Black leather shoes is important. You represent a pharmaceutical company, that sells drugs, medicine. It's serious business. Therefore, your professionalism is important that includes how well you carry yourself. More often then not, your protential customer will judge you the way you look before anything else.
