How could you get a job at a farm or apple orchard?

I think it would be fun to get a job at a farm or apple orchard doing work like harvesting and picking. How would you find that. I live in the suburbs but there is lots of farmland nearby. Aslo what age do you usually have to be to just work in the summer or fall when the apples and things are in season, i live in Ohio.

Look in the newspaper. Local farms tend to put Help Wanted Ads in the papers near the fall. Or stop by the farms and ask if they need help. And I'm not sure about ages for Ohio. Try looking online or asking when you apply.

Stop by some of the farms or apple orchards & talk to the owners. I was an Ohioan until a year ago, but while living there, I know the working age was 16....that may have changed. Good luck!!!
