What career path do I need to take to break into hospital administration?

I am working on a bachlors degree in sociology, and I would like to complete a masters in family and consumer sciences. I have worked as a CNA in healthcare and for years and I now work in a hospital emergency room.

I'm not an education expert, but I think you need to get a Master's in Business Administration. Hosp. Administrators don't have to have medical knowledge so much as business knowledge to run a hospital/clinic. Their main aim is to make money for the hosp. With your current path, sounds like you are going for social worker or psychologist which are both fine professions. Hope this may help some.
