I applied for a job online at a local Blockbuster, but should I apply for other locations as well?
Asked by JLLHokieLavaDog*isaRETARDhahaLOL
I just recently submitted an application for a job at a Blockbuster down the street from where I live; however, at the start of the application process, it had me select which store I would like to apply to from a list of many different Blockbusters in the area.
Does anyone know if their system only sends my application to the store that I selected or if it sends my application to all the stores near my location? They use a company called Unicru to process all their applications.
Will I need to redo this application and select another store if I want to send my application to another store? I want to submit my applications to all the nearby Blockbusters in my area to better my chances of getting a job.

Selecting various places may give you a higher chance in an interview but by doing it via online, people may not be wanting new recruitments for awhile. Submitting a resume in person give you a better chance of attention. I don't think online is the best way to apply for a job because you don't know if there are actual vacancies in that location.

Probably just that one store. If you are really interested in working at that store, go to the store and fill out the application. You might get an on the spot interview if the manager is in and be hired. If not, then ask them if there are other stores in the area (close to you) should you apply there as well? They may tell you 1 application is enough or that you must apply at each one separately. Good Luck on the job. It is a great place to work ~ based on my experience as a customer.

You only need to apply for one store. When other stores in the area are hiring, the store manager will pull up a "District Application Sharing Report" which shows all of the people who applied within that district. Most people get hired at a store that they didn't fill out the application for.
