how do you become a greenhorn or a deckhand on a crab fishing boat?

That's such an awesome show. Too bad I have a fear of fishheads or else I'll be crab fishing. From what I gather from the show, you just have to go up there well before the start of the season and see which boat and captain needs people and tell him that you're interested in becoming a crab fisherman. Good luck, and if you do get on, make sure you say who pointed you in the right direction on tv. lol

Looks pretty dangerous especially for a greenhorn or newbie, but I would think that since the Captain owns the fishing vessle you would have to be hired by him. Thus ~ you would have to go to the source directly...
