Does anyone know about someone trading work,cooking cleaning, yardwork or caretaking for guesthouse for trade?

I have 2 dogs and would very much like to keep them, The perfect ideal job for me would be to trade work for a room or guesthouse. Do people do that anymore?

All the local high schools have live-in janitors. At my high school a husband and wife were the janitors and they had a nice house inside the school. Also, my neighbor lives in a nice brick house and their job is caretaker of a trailer park. It's pretty reasonable, but I think if this was your goal it would probably be hard to find such an arrangement.
