I know that there are certain clerical jobs with the state that pay in the 20,000 - 30,000 range but I don't know if that's exactly what you would call "paid good." You need to look for state and federal jobs. They're probably your best bet. Plus, you will get better benefits and most of the time you can get annual and sick leave, paid holidays, and retirement. But if that doesn't sound very appealing, you could always try and work as the Clerk for a Lawyer's firm. Especially if you can get a position with a large firm working with multiple attorney's then you could make anywhere from 25,000 - 35,000. You don't usually get the benefits as you would from the state or federal. Another possibility is a secretary for a college. I don't know how much they get paid but I know at college when I need help I go up to the Department head and there's a secretary there to help and I would imagine it wouldn't pay too bad so that could be a possibility too. I hope I was helpful. Good Luck!

I don't know what industry you work in, but you can work in a settlements department in an investment bank/merchant bank. This area is very interesting and is computer based work. Also accounts payable, payroll and things like that. You can also use your secretarial skills and look into being a virtual assistant out of your normal work hours as well.
