which areas in more jobs oracle developer or DBA Track????Please Specify the salary packages also.?

i know the salary packages the oracle in two different areas as a DBA or Developer track. Please Suggest. Guid to me the right way. THanks

Where do you want to be long term. If you want to get into IT management or architechture then the DBA route is the way to go. If you want to stay doing the nuts and bolts work, a developer track may be better. IMO the DBA job is easier and for some reason seems to pay more. I know many DBA's that are bored to death with their jobs though. Good Luck

DBA is the best track. you can start at Developer, but aim to be DBA. get the ground level concepts first before directly getting into DBA region, unless you have the basic concepts. Oracle is easy to learn and can be done all self is you have resources like internet, a pc. Salary woule be good at DBA level when compared to Developer and the more experience you have with complex environments, the more you get. check the below site for Oracle Resources
