My son was offered a job in construction. The job tiltle is nail puller. Is this a carpenters helper?

no its a gopher lowest payed person

Sounds like someone in that company likes a good final product, and created that job specifically for that reason, to pull nails. I would put it on par with being a laborer, but soon enough if he shows promise, he will learn things and be moved up.

If your son has been offered a job as a 'nail puller' then he's just being hired as a general laborer. A carpenter's helper would be more involved in working side by side with a certified carpenter... involving measuring, cutting, actual constructing, and the like...
