Career Questions and Answers
Choose a career for me?
Asked by MaxM
I study these subjects at school:
Mathematics, Physical Science, Accounting, Computers.
"You can't succeed without a goal" , thats wat everybody says and its true - thats why i need your help, i stil dont have a goal in a career.
i dont know wat profession i want to go in when i finish school, but i have to make a choice now.
So can you compile jobs that i can try according to the subjects that i take,
eg. Accounting - Actuary/chattered accounted
Computers - Programmer/CCNA
My main aim is to make money.
Please consider the career for the future – don’t want to be a chauffeur in the land of computer driven vehicles.
(ps dont refer me to a site)

If I had your skills, I would be a computer analyst. Accounting is good too but it's better if you get a CPA - you make more $$ that way. You sound very smart and ambitious. Good luck!

Of those subjects which is your favorite? If you are going to spend 40 + hours a week on the job there is more to consider then how much money you can make. I would suggest taking College Prep courses to prepare. Start with the general requirements while you figure out what will be the most satisfying career for you.
For now make College your goal.

I'm curious as to why you have to decide your career now. Assuming you're actually interested in the courses you're taking, you could start out in a Business Administration program and decide your field of concentration a few years down the road, when you've seen what the job market looks like and learned more about what makes you happy. If you decide you want to become an accountant, you can easily change your major to Accounting, or you can change to the Information Technology program with Business Admin as your minor. You have lots and lots of options ahead of you. Please don't lock yourself into something this early.
Good luck, whatever you decide

Do something in finance. It involves most of those subjects. Also as a financial analyst you make about $50K to start with.
