Instead of going to college you could be a constrution worker or you can go to college and be a nurse what would you do?

construction worker - not guaranteed work 52 weeks a year - You may have to go thru an apprentice program until you reach full pay level (if in a union at least) -could last up to 5 yrs depending on exact type of job - it's kind of work and classroom-maybe 1 day a week. Pay starts low and increases at certain intervals and as tests are passed. Nursing is expected to be in great demand as population ages-good pay from the start-less schooling to be an RN or LPN, but totally different kind of aptitude needed-heavy on science, anatomy

be a nurse u make more money and alway on demand!

I would choose construction work because the hours are better, less chance of catching something and you don't have to deal with doctors.

This is a decision you must make for yourself. You must realize that all jobs have some good parts, and also some bad. Helping another person who is very ill to feel better is a very noble thing, but could you stand to watch a person die? You may have to. Construction work is also rewarding. For instance, helping to build a bridge and seeing it completed is a real accomplishment and definitely something to be proud of, but it may require you to stay away from your home and work long hours in extreme heat or cold. Whatever you decide to do, try to choose something that really enjoy. While making good money is important, don't base your decision soley on the pay scale. If you wake up every morning and dread going to your job, all the money in the world won't make it any more tolerable. Whatever you decide to do, work hard and learn more than just what it takes to "get by". The only person who even comes close to having "job security" is the person who knows more about their job than anyone else.

CONSTRUCTION WORKER Unless you want to on a daily basis be in a position to be sued criminally or civilly. Or answer for why someone else f*ed up three days ago. Or listen to families and patients go on and on about how the pills they get aren't magic after all. Or MDs not returning your calls for which you can be in trouble for.
