Whats the going rate for a caregiver in los ageles?

I am a female caregiver with 10+ years, I have been working in orange county now inland empire and I am thinking of moving to L.A if the price is right, especially with the prices down there.how much should I charge in los angeles? hr/wkly/

That depends on your "expertise". You have to look at it from the families perspective. Because in part, you do become family and in order for that to come to pass, they need to be able to trust you. If it were me...I would inquire on your qualifications before we start talking money. Are you CPR certified? Have you ever worked as a C.N.A? Where have you worked before? Then I would ask you interview like questions like, "How would you transfer someone out of bed and put them in the chair when their right side is affected by a stroke?" I would see your personality type and if it would work with the family member your taking care of. I would also check your credit score... it would tell me A LOT about you. (I would just check the score, I don't need to know anything else) ie; how reliable you are, if your score is low then you might be tempted to steal something. How you dress, how professional you are all come into play. How much would I spend? I would ask you how much you would like to receive and see if it was in my budget...if your the perfect candidate then...your priceless. ;-)
