What to wear to a job interview for a fast-food place?
Asked by sars
What should I wear to a job interview at a fast-food place such as McDonald's, Burger King, or Subway? I am just thinking of a buttoned shirt (what color?) with a white undershirt, one button unbuttoned at the top, and some Levi jeans. I am a teenager, this will be my first job.

Clean, undyed blue jeans without holes in them should be fine. Couple that with a shirt with a collar and call it good. Sneakers are acceptable if clean and without holes. Basically you're dressing to show the interviewer and the job some respect. But don't overdress, because then you look as though you have no common sense and make unpredictable decisions. Then, when they give you a uniform, wear it clean and with some respect. After all, they gave you a job. Other employees won't feel the need to show this level of pride in their uniform, but do yourself a favor and don't follow those losers. Have some character and class about yourself. . . .
