Follow the tips on this page for a clear idea of how to prepare, what kind of questions to expect and how to make the interview go as smoothly as possible. Getting ready for your interview The secret to a good interview is preparation. Here are some pointers on how you can make the right impression. 1. Refresh your memory. Look at the copy of your application form so you can remember how you answered the questions. Take it with you to the interview. 2. Know your stuff. Rehearse answers to questions like why you want the job, what your skills and achievements are, why you think you'll fit in and what you think you'll add to the company. 3. What to wear. Wear something clean and smart that you feel comfortable in. If your interview is for after school, your uniform is fine. Pay attention to grooming too - that way you'll feel and look confident. 4. On the day. Make sure you leave plenty of time for your journey - plan to arrive about 15 to 20 minutes before your interview time. Check that you have your application form, mobile, map (if you've never been to the restaurant before) and of course, car keys or fare money. 5. Arriving Let the shift manager know you've arrived. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some typical questions Here are some of the most common questions that get asked at an interview. Think about how you'd answer. Ask friends or family for their advice on what you can say. Why do you want the job? What do you know about McDonald's and why do you want to work for us? What are your strengths and weaknesses? What are your career ambitions? What achievements and skills do you think will be useful in this job? What kind of things do you enjoy doing outside school/work? You will probably be asked to give some examples of situations where you have worked or participated in a team and whether that worked well and if it didn't work well, why? Be prepared to discuss any customer situations you've been in where you may have faced a difficult customer and how you handled that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At the interview If you're really nervous take some deep breaths and try to relax. We'll be asking you questions to find out a bit more about your skills and achievements. Questions Take your time when answering questions and try to show how your skills and abilities will help you perform the job. If you don't understand a question, don't be afraid to ask the interviewer to repeat it. Your turn Usually at the end of an interview, you'll be asked if you have any questions. Now's the time to clarify anything you're not sure of. Good questions to ask are about the training and the prospects. You can also ask when you might hear if you've been successful. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It depends if you are african American then don't wear a lot of loud colors like pink blue or red wear a gray suit or a suit that comes with a skirt and a nice pearl necklace or you can were a black suit with a white shirt and a pearl necklace but if you are white try not to where anything to bright also and don't over accessorize a nice necklace and a nice bracelet will do and not a lot of make up

Skirt and heels are overboard. I would wear a nice pair of black or brown pants and a matching nice top. That will show you are mature and professional and can handle a job.

Skirt and heels might be a little overkill, but better to err on the side of too nice than too sloppy. Otherwise, a nice pair of slacks (NOT jeans), an unrevealing and not-too-tight top (not a t-shirt) and maybe a jacket (depending on the top) would be a good choice, along with shoes that aren't tennis shoes (you can wear heels with jeans, as long as they aren't too dressy for the outfit).

i think the most important thing is along with your self your ward robe should be very very neat and clean. i would not suggest cut offs and rip clothes. make sure your nails are clean and no green veggies in your teeth. (also no gum chewing -- it really turns off certain individauls) be very awake and alert at all times. good luck and welcome to the work force............

require uniforms with the company's logo on the shirt. Since you don't have one of those, you might want to mimic the uniform in other ways. For example, if you know that employees at the fast food restaurant for which you are applying wear black corporate polo shirts with jeans, you could very easily wear a black polo shirt and jeans to the interview. Likewise, if the job requires khaki's, you should go out and purchase a pair to wear to the interview. Jewelry should be tasteful and elegant, and should not in any way compromise the position you are seeking. For example, a fast food restaurant will not appreciate large hoop earrings. You should also make an effort to wear clothing that covers any tattoos or body piercings. This is especially true for a job in a restaurant, though many people overlook it. Regardless of whether you are a man or a woman, your fingernails should be clean and short. Women should avoid nail polish unless it is a pale color.Make sure that your shirts are neatly pressed and that your pants or jeans are free of holes and faded spots. If you need to wear a jacket, make sure that it is clean and ironed and that it complements your shirt and pants.

Dressing up would certainly not be out of line. At a minimum, wear nice slacks and a shirt, not jeans or flip-flops or sneakers.
