starting salary for cafe at barnes and noble?

I'm in high school and I want to get a part time there, the application asks what you would like your salary to be... no idea what to ask for, I've never had a job before. Also, what would be the best job for me there? I'm not outgoing so I wouldn't really be a good bookseller, but I don't mind organizing books, and what about a music seller? Or a receiver- they keep shelves well stocked and verify shipments. The thing is I'm only sixteen, old enough to get a job there, but don't think they'd give me anything important, just a cafe server? Also, where do I get a job permit? And what kinds of people do I put for personal reference? Thanks a bunch!!!!

the salary is dependent on the location of the store. dress nicely and visit the local store to put in an application. the manager will give you the pay scale when you ask. visit your counselor at school for some tips on resumes, applications, etc.
