A question for executive secretaries?
Asked by babysteppin2003
I am going to be starting a career as of August 6, 2007 and I will be doing a lot of data entry. I have never had such a position before, and I am currently using my keyboard alot more now, and so I would like to know, how often do secretary's get a manicure done, especially where you use the keyboard so much, and you tend to experience tightness in the center of the hand from keyboarding so much. I am trying to get myself prepared for the extra "maintance" cost on myself since I'll be utilizing the keyboard a lot more.
Thanks, and God Bless!!

Depends how fast your nails grow and how hard you are on them.....My nails need to be redone each second day that is why I do them myself. I have beautiful nails all day long then I get home and scrub pots & pans. By the way my secretary doesn't have her nails done, she keeps them very short with a clear polish and it's perfect that way. If your nails are too long they will slow you down on the typping.

If you have any artistic ability at all you can do it yourself!!!! Really, it's not that hard. A lot of people like the whole experience of getting it done but I don't. Especially knowing that many of those establishments are not clean (they can spread nail fungus) even though they look clean. I have girlfriends who go once about every two weeks. A visit costs about $30. You can save your money and do it yourself though if you really want to have nice looking nails.
