What can you do for a career change if you are 48 and have been driving a bus for the past 15 years?

I have been driving a bus for the past 15 years, and I'm so sick of being broke all the time. I want to make a career change, but I have absolutely no idea what to change to, and I'm not that computer-savvy, so that's not an option (but I can type pretty good). I love animals, but my eyesight is getting worse, the older I get, so I don't know how much longer driving for a living will be an option.

You can get a job doing customer service if you want it's a very easy job you have a bright personality for it

I would say that now is definitely the time to see what sort of things you have a passion for, and go from there. If you think you type well, and would like to persue something where typing is involved, you should take a state certified test that will rate your typing proficiency. they will then send you a list of state jobs that will suit your typing skills. state jobs usually pay decent and have great benefits.

Ok good, I bet you've seen a heck of a lot! :) Well, first what would you do if you did not get paid for it is the first question? Secondly, do you have any hobbies? Write a book about your experience over the past 15 years as a bus driver. (or get someone to write it.) If you love animals, what about working at a pet daycare center? A dog walking service? Bake doggie treats and sell them. What experience does someone need in riding a bus, a "how to ride the bus" guide for newcomers to your area, state or region? Think along those line and good luck!

go take a aptitude test at a college or take a interest test. Usually a counselor at a school can do this. If you have a hobbies try to expand on that and market it before you throw in the towel on driving. there's always work on line stuff that you can do at home. or phone work. The ASPCA is always looking for volunteers to help out. that's how ya get in. good luck

I don't know, except perhaps you can take a fun test here http://gsx1.com/freeaptitest.htm and hope they suggest something interesting at the end, they often offer jobs according to the results so it might be useful, cheers.
