What types of careers are available to me after I leave the military?
Asked by Chris C

Depends on your speciality and experience. My son was an electronics tech in the navy. His MAIN job was to change out lightbulbs in P3 Orion sub chasers at Moffat Field NAS. THAT didn't qualify him for ANYTHING, since the civilian sector had little use for P3 Orion subchasers. Same thing may apply to you, even if you actually performed repairs on electronics gear by swithing out faile components. On the other hand, if you were the guy that actually debugged and repaired the components, then you can find similar work in almost any industry.

A:
Not many. Gas station, Radio Shack, Heating and Airconditioning Tech.
