I am looking to change careers at age 42, any ideas?

I have experience in sales, management, retail, restaurant, truck driving, radio, some accounting. I have very little college under my belt, no degree. I currently do oilfield hotshot with my own truck and trailer, I have been doing this for a little over a year. Prior to that I drove an 18 wheeler over the road with a friend of mine. I have a family and would like to get away from driving as it keeps me away from home for too long. Would really like a M-F job so that I can be home evenings and weekends. I do need to make at least $50K yr. Please, serious answers only. I've poured over job sites for the last couple of years to no avail. Thanks for your help in advance. I live just North of Houston, Spring/Woodlands area.

Have you ever considered going into business for yourself? You can be in control of your hours and the tax benefits are awesome for owning a small home based business. I love it! It is not an easy decision to make, you do need to do your homework. No need to fall for any scams when a little bit of research on the computer can save you money and anguish. I started the search for a business in January and decided on one in March, now I own an on line travel agency through a really great company that is publicly traded and a member of the BBB. They provide excellent training, support and mentoring. I get the best commissions in the industry, awesome tax benefits, and the travel credentials are very nice.
