does anyone know what steps you should take to become a 911 operator?

As a lot of people do..... I never went to college and now I live a life of one meaningless job after another. I have always thought I would enjoy being a 911 operator, unfourtantely you don't see that in the classafides. Does anyone have a clue on the first steps to take to acheive this dream?

The only step you need to take is call around and find out who is hiring or accepting applications and start applying. The agency that hires you will pay for all training you need.

Go to your city's website or to cityhall and apply. Usually a high school diploma is all you need. I read a local article saying they were hiring high school grads because they have good experience with computers, and they have a lot of openings.
