Hey guys, I just got a new job at Wal-Mart as receiving/shipping. I know I shouldn't be asking this but I'm new to this postion and don't exactly understand what are the duties it involves. Can anyone please help me, and explain to me the all that has to be done. All your help is greatly appreciated. Alex

Have you completed your orientation? I am close to someone who has a job at Wal-Mart in Shipping and receiving. He works 1-11 pm. They unload trucks and organize goods from the truck onto skids and distribute them to the different departments in the store. He likes it. Had to get used to it at first. But he is sticking with it.

Wrong!!! when you start a new job that's exactly what you have to be doing: Ask a lot of questions...!!!! everything from breaks, to where to put things etc..

To help pass the time count all of the boxes that are labeled MADE IN CHINA -- that should keep you busy for 8 hours. But seriously keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth closed.

I work at a wal-mart DC in the Staple Stock Recieving Dep. All you do is unload freight and process it. You lable it according to the count and tie-high on the pallet. It seems difficult at first but it's actually quite easy. Just make sure you don't damage anything.
