hello all, I’m getting older, currently I`m a project manager for a real estate co. st.louis area, but I also do a lot of the other things because I’m a jack of all trades I can pretty much do it all from design to handling permits and inspectors, planning, finish carpentry all the way down to general labor, today carried 45 buckets of dirt out of a basement now my back is killing me and I just had back surgery a year ago. ill be right back at the hospital if I keep this up, so here I am. I feel like I’m wasting my talents. if had to put together a resume my experience and education would look something like this ..project manager3 years...ironworker 10years 3years training...skills and knowledge of various trades...had my own small construction co...3 years engineering drafting in high school...1 year of AutoCAD. I have learned a great deal about computers, I would like to find a career which I could apply my skills and make at least 80k in a computer related feild..any ideas?

I am n ot sure what to say... why not take a career aptitude test like this http://gsx1.com/freeaptitest.htm
and see what they come out with, then you'll know what suits your personality. It might be fun and it's free.

You really should go into a project manager position for the city. They make the bucks. Good luck, hope you find the dream job. Be safe of that back.

See what you can do. I was a Paralegal in New Jersey, opened my own paralegal business/real estate settlement company and moved to South Carolina and got a job as an accountant. I also had a Bachelors Degree in Business.
You can probably get a job with a builder but right now the real estate market is bad everywhere. You can also get a job with an association or a property management company. Start looking. Pay someone to put together your resume and keep trying. I took me over three months to find another job.
You may also qualify to be a zoning officer or something for a town. See what happens. Most important, get a good resume to get your foot in the door. Then network.

You seem like an honest person and that's a quality I like... message me and I'll send you a link that will allow you a non laborious way to make extra money. It involves something you probably are already doing anyway, so why not get paid for it?
