I think you need to get off the computer, get a shower, get dressed up and get out and look for a job. The job will not come looking for you. Or, you can get on line with the classified ads in your area and look for a job. GOOD LUCK!!!!
I'm a mother of three children who are all working!

Go to your nearest temp agency and get a temping job. With your experience, you should be able to do this. Temp agencies give you crap insurance- it won't pay for medications for chronic conditions - however, if you live in the United States, and your insurance is being terminated on 9/30, you can sign up for COBRA, which is an extension of your previous coverage. You can keep COBRA coverage for a year. It is pricey, but it will keep you insured. When I was on COBRA, I paid $323 per month, but the insurance was damn good. The COBRA rate depends on the type of insurance policy you had when you were under your parents' plan.
While you are paying out the rear for COBRA coverage, and making money at a full-time temp job, look fervently for a full-time job with benefits at a company. Look for something with a reputable company, and don't be picky about it being admin or clerical specifically. Open yourself up to being a customer service representative for the purpose of this job search, because it's all about the insurance. Keep that resume in tip-top shape.
Remember, if you have a pre-existing condition, if you have a lapse of coverage where you have no insurance or no COBRA, you can later get turned down for health insurance, so in that way, COBRA is your friend.
Again, to summarize- call the temp agency ASAP, take your A+ resume, get a temp job, sign up for COBRA coverage, make sure you pay your fee each month on time, and look for a full-time job with benefits. It sucks to be a grown up, but at least you will be healthy!
You can do it!
