How many Rn's are working in a Cardiac Cath lab.?
Asked by mackdjroc187
I will be taking a job in a cath lab on Monday and I am wondering what to expect. Compare and contrast to telemetry floors.

Best Answer:
On the telemetry stepdown I work on on days there are between 6 to 7 RNs, Eves 4 to 5 and Nights 3 to 4 depending on census. We sometimes work below the required amount and elect a nurse to "supercharge" who handles floor business with another floor with a low RN staffing census and not take care of patients. As for the cath labs here I believe its 2 for each lab and there are 4 adult and 1 pedi. Good luck with the job.
