Depending on the type of hotel most housekeepers work alone. You get a card full of the things you will need to clean the rooms you will be assigned in the morning. Sometimes you will always clean the same room sometimes you will get different rooms to clean on different days. Cleaning the rooms depends on if it is a check out or a stay over. Check outs you 'strip' the room. Meaning you take the linen off the bed, keeping the comforter in the room. those are cleaned less often the everything else. the room gets new linen and new towels and everything that will be needed in the bathroom. Then you dust, take out the trash, remake the bed, scrub the bathroom good, mop, if needed and add anything to the room that is needed. like paper, pens, TV guide. make sure the remote works and the clock say the right time. A stay over is basically the same but the linen stays. you do the same in the bathroom. taking out the dirty and putting in clean towels and other things. Remake the bed and everything you would do like in a check out. Vacuuming is the last thing you do cause the guests like to see the lines so they know you have been there..
