Is Quality Control Inspector a Good Job?
Asked by David
They are going to pay me $13/hr. Its 2nd shift at a company that supplies stuff for Honda. It's located in Circleville, OH. I just don't know exactly what to expect from this type of job. I know I can do it, and will probably do fine, but I just wanted to know if anyone out there had a job like this and if they liked it or not and why.

Great job. You get to critique other peoples' work without ever doing any yourself, or even having to know how to do the job.
Eventually you get to feel *really* self-important as you keep your job while the real workers get laid off. If you work real hard on a QC attitude you can have most of the shift hating you in no time.
I worked at Sony in Mt. Pleasant PA where the $20/hr QC's were the most useless life forms on the planet.

It may be repetitive/boring because you will be looking at parts looking for defects. If you take it, tell them you are looking to advance in the company in a few years (to maybe a managing position).

By being a quality control inspector you are to ..........quality as
defined" is doing things right the first time all the time."This might be too general but in evaluating products, services, work, etc.based on quality there is only one gold standard. You do it right the first time all the time to achieve client satisfaction.
