Asked by girl
I know there are many kinds of planner; wedding planner, meeting planner, exhibition planner etc. Where would you usually find employment if you are an event planner with a degree(excluding the option of being self-employed)? Are they in demand right now? What abt the rest of the world? Is it easy to look for jobs around the world if you are an event planner? I need to know everything abt being an event planner. Thanks and I'll really appreciate it if anyone can help!!!

Event planning is a competitive market where not a lot of people is disposed to share information. That is because you can definitely get good dollars. There are three elements you have to assess when thinking about working in event planning: - your experience - your studies - your motivation Assess what are your strengths and weaknesses in these three areas and find ways to star in all of them. If you are starting your career I strongly suggest you get a bit of experience in back office or volunteer in an event, just to understand the whole process. After that you'll be more aware of what you like. It is very important for you to specialize in one thing at the beginning and then diversify in compatible areas where you can adapt your acquired knowledge. I strongly suggest you read the source below where you'll find specific sections answering your question Hope this helps!

Event planning can involve a diverse number of business or social occasions. Each event can come under a heading, such as Celebrations, Promotions, Commemorations or Education. Celebrations can include parades, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries. Educational events could be meetings, graduations and conferences. Promotional events may be political rallies, product launches and fashion shows. Commemoration events include civic events and memorials.Event planner can earn from very low to very high depending on their skills some are even earning 100k per year as they are very talented its not easy to find employment in this field and most of them are self-employed but others who are really good can get a job in architecture companies and other companies which plan their bussiness meetings and need a very good planner...
