High paying and easy jobs in construction?
Asked by PeguinBackPacker
I talked with a crane operator and I heard they can make up to 50 dollars an hour and travel any where in the world. What other job paths are available in the construction biz.

My exfiancee worked in masonry construction. He started as an apprentice at $60 a day (this was 14 years ago) so it probably starts at a higher rate now. When I left him 5 years ago he was up to $625 a week cash (he always managed to find under the table jobs). It's good money but it's difficult to find stable work during the winter months because concrete and winter don't work together. I'm sure there are several different construction jobs, for instance my ex did work on houses alone (but nothing with wrecking balls, etc.) so open a yellow pages and start calling around to ask what kind of experience you need, it never hurts to ask - knowledge is power! They will tell you what you have to do to start and what kind of money to expect in the beginning.
