How is the Florida job market? Moving from NY and I can't find anything over $15hr.?
Asked by Angie
(Currently looking in Tampa, Orlando, and Miami) I have a Bachelor's in Business Administration and several years experience in the Administrative field as well as internships in corporate settings. I've looked in many of the popular job sites and haven't found anything worthwhile. Industry is open. Are there any jobs in Florida that actually pay over $15-$16hr with benefits? Thanks : ) I know that the cost of living is cheaper than that of NY's, but I don't want to think that $15hr is all I have to look forward to.

a quick answer, NO. I live in Sarasota(south of tampa) while there are a lot of richies around here, the average rate of pay is 10-11 dollars an hour. and keep in mind that our rental and housing costs are almost that of NYC. However, you might have a chance, with your degree, to get a comfortable salary pay, but certainly not hourly/.Around here the pay is low and the rent and food are high. That's why florida is the falice of the nation.
