Can a 15 year old work night shift at Wal-Mart or Petsmart?
Asked by Dashing Neko
I'll be 16 next March, but I've really been wanting to get a job to help my mom out, since she's been having some money problems lately. So I was thinking of trying to get a job at Wal-Mart or Petsmart working night shift (less people to deal with). I'm homeschooled, so the hours wouldn't be an issue. Is this possible, or am I too young?

I don't know the rules if you are homeschooled, but often there are set a set amount of hours that you are allowed to work and also I think in my state you are not aloud to work past 11:00pm on a school night. You will probably need to contact a place in your town about work permits to find out the rules.

chances are child labor laws in your state won't allow it, but look into it

I'm pretty positive that for the night shift you must be over 18, at least.Go on line or phone the stores.
