It's easy. Finding clients is the challenge. Be prepared to go a couple years with a low income. After you've built up your business, however, you not only get commissions on new insurance policies, but on all renewals too. The better you are at customer service, the more people will refer their friends to you.

A:
No, it is not a good career move. Becoming a Farmers Insurance Agent could be one of the worst career mistakes you could make.

Don't do that to yourself. Although you are tired or bar tending, why not take an online personality test and figure out what fields might be best for you. Then think about those jobs and make a plan for those. What about something you enjoy? there is nothing wrong with sales - whether its cars, clothes or insurance. But the last one is tough, you will always be scratching the earth for clients. You may thrive on that, and that's good. I don't think its what you really want. I think you are settling. Don't settle!
