i am working as a hostess and am in school for medical assisting. what it my next step towards my career?

i started this semester in medical assisting and my job as a hostess pays next to nothing, and i would become a server but im not quite 20. , and i dont have a car just yet. i want to take the next step toward a career in nursing and move out w my bf in an apartment, but i don't know what the next step i can take is. if anyone can help i would really really appreciate it!

Whoa, just slow down a bit. first finish MA school then get any certifications or licenses you need then get a MA job. After doing that for a year decide if you want to go on further in the medical field. If the answer is yes then check out the local nursing schools. I recommend going for the Bachelors degree not the associate if you go that route. Also consider the many other medical field jobs such as Physical therapy, respiratory therapy,health care administrator Medical technologist etc.. people only tend to think of nursing but there is so much more that one can do in the medical field in general. I started out as a cna then became a lpn , then eventually went back for my BSN/Rn thus far best things I have done for myself.

If you want to be a nurse, drop out of MA now! Go to nursing school instead. If you graduate as a Medical Assistant, absolutly NONE of your credits will transer to your nusing degree. Medical Assistants, even certified make only about $9.50/hr to start.
