In the UK - could someone recommend a part time job which would have really flexible hours?
Asked by mick dundee
No doubt some primitively-humoured chav will say "prosititute" - but please, if trying to make people laugh, at least come up with something good... I only want part time hours and very flexible. Preferably working every sunday and doing an additional evening and a saturday every other week. I don't really want to work in a shop and definately not a degrading bar/hotel job. I don't have a car (no need for one) - so does anyone have any ideas? My full time job is in editorial work. Thanks for your help.

Have to ask why on earth you think that bar work is degrading??? It's a brilliant laugh and I have worked in many on a part time basis - especially when I've moved into a new area and want to get to know people. And before you think I don't have a good, responsible job full time, I'm a Compliance Office for one of the biggest insurance brokers in the country. The only thing I can think of if you really do not want to work in a shop, bar or hotel, etc. is some sort of home working, like typing, stuffing envelopes, etc.

I was looking for pet sitting, for someone to walk my dog while I was away for a week, and it seems they charge £24 a day to do 2 half hour walks and draw your curtains at night. They look after cats too, just consists of putting down fresh food and water once a day and changing the litter, it seems. Ps, bar work can be fun - I did it for a few years during and after Uni, and had a ball taking the mickey out of the 'g + t' brigade and just generally having a laugh with the rest of 'em. Nothing 'degrading' about it, no clue where you got that idea. You're missing out, you know, really. As well as being a bit insulting and quite rude. Cynical Girl, u beat me to it (happens a lot) but yeah, happy days.....carried on with it for ages after I stopped needing to, just for the fun.

There is a health and wellness company coming to your area November 1st. The company has a very generous compensation plan as well as a Mercedes cash bonus program. I would be more than happy to give you information about this phenomenal company. Just email me. Best Wishes.

You seem to have ruled as unacceptable all the jobs which might fit the sort of hours you want . You need to look to retail if you really want those sort of hours . Any major supermarket will offer Sunday plus the odd evening , or perhaps the leisure industry , cinema , sports centre etc .
