How do you become a carpenter?

I would like to become a succesful carpenter when i am older. I would appreciate any advice as to the best route to take. Thankyou.

one start out by messing with small wood and frames then you can build from there ,learn to use a tape early,yes learn the 16th on tape too haha they are used alot when a finish carpenter also take shop in school ,i own my own company so yes i do how to become a succesful all around carpenter,dont ever think a carpenter just builds from wood ,we build it all.learn tools to early,like rip saw,table saw and miter also work with a speed square alot ,if want to more herei can help .doneright homes and fence
