Hi!
If it was just for money, than there are plenty of ideas in the other answers about local places to get a seasonal job.
If you are looking to gain experience, and you have an interest in a certain career, it's best to not "waste time" being a waiter if you want to be an architect.
Try to get an entry level job in the field that you enjoy, and you might be able to work your way up.
You didn't mention that you were in college, so if not, consider how you can work toward that goal so you can eventually build a better foundation for a long career ahead of you.
Better to "under promise and over deliver" at any job. Don't oversell your skills and then fall flat. It's better to surprise an employer by doing "above and beyond expectations" which is how you will grow. It's also how an employer can build trust and respect for your contributions.
This may sound too "heavy" for someone who just wants a part time job, but if you just flit from one part time opportunity to another, without building on them, you will be 25 before you know it, and not be any further ahead.
If you look at it strategically, you will not be as frustrated down the line.
Did you know that the executive management of McDonald's Corporation used to be a french fry gal 20 years ago?
Whatever you do, give it your all and you will be successful.
5 yrs college; 20 yrs experience. Lots of hard work and dedication.

try volunteering first and especially get volunteer positions that allows you to work with the cash machine or is money/business/math related.. that would look good on your resume! good luck :)

Holiday season is coming up, now is a great time to get a part time job with little experience required. Try the mall and stores like Wal-mart or Target.

I'd try a few job boards.
jobjob.org and indeed.com have a lot of good ones.
Also, jobjob.org has listing of temp/employment agencies. They are usually VERY flexible when it comes to previous experience.
