What is the difference between accounting clerk, accounting technician and bookkeeper?

There are no real differences in these positions. People use different titles for the same position sometimes. All of these positions are basically entry level accounting positions that require anywhere from a high school degree to a 2 year college degree. More importantly, read the job duties to see what is expected of the position.

Accounting is where you would try and forecast the future income based on the past income. Bookkeeping is simply recording exactly how much comes in and how much goes out. A qualified accountant usually earns more money than a bookkeeper.

.............a rose by any other name..... just different titles for doing basically the same thing. They're probably all entry-level positions in an accounting department.
